Did you ever see anything as sweet as this precious baby girl? As a Redlands newborn photographer, I know that every little one is special and unique—and I’m reminded of it every time I do a session.
Lana did such a great job for me during her newborn photo session. We got lots of wrapped setups using various props, including bed, bucket, and flokati. Lots of beautiful whites, creams, and pinks gave us exactly the look we were going for. We transitioned to beanbag poses after that, and even managed to achieve the chin on hands pose. What a great little sleeper—and absolutely beautiful too! She had so much dark hair. Newborn hair is so soft and fluffy—I was pretty much in love.
Lana’s parents have wanted to start a family for a long time, and tried for two years before finally being blessed with a daughter. They brought a blanket with the Bible verse, “For this child I have prayed” (1 Samuel 1:27), but we soon realized that it was going to be hard to photograph successfully due to its size. However, as a Redlands newborn photographer, I’ve learned to be creative and flexible. We improvised: I grabbed my Bible, we found the verse that was so meaningful to them, and we did some lifestyle shots with Lana next to the Bible and being held by her parents. These photos turned out so well! Lana even woke up briefly to show off her gorgeous dark eyes.
I couldn’t be happier for this family! Mom and Dad had a long time to wait, but what a gift they received for their patience. Loved spending some time with all of them in my Moreno Valley, California photography studio—and loved the beautiful images we were able to create.
